About the Founding GTM role

CreatorCommerce is looking for a Founding GTM to join our quest to back up the world of collaborations with better commerce experiences. This is an outsized role that will become the formal lead for our demand generation efforts + our first Full-Time Employee hire outside of contractors.

After 2 years of finding our way, countless pilot engagements and meticulous R&D, we've bootstrapped into a newly self-serve product with real market fit. Now we're ready to shift from test mode to growth mode, and we’re looking for an ambitious & adventurous individual to join the team.

We empower brands to spin up hundreds (even millions) of shopping experiences for their influencers, ambassadors, and affiliates to personalize and share—earning them more on every partnership by making the most of every click.

We're deeply embedded in the Shopify ecosystem, with an ultra-tight theme integration that enables brands to take collaborative commerce seriously and scale it as a core part of their business model.

To date, we’ve been working to become THE platform for commerce infra that backs up a brand's collabs, and have achieved integrations with leading partnership platforms like Social Snowball, Roster, and GRIN to become their 'creator commerce' layer for their brand ecosystems.

Our results speak for themselves: clients like Cozy Earth and Crocs see 67% higher AOV and 135% higher conversion rates through our platform, and we’re continuing to work with more & more partners to make co-branded storefronts a table stakes element of collabs. 

Historically our growth has been exclusively from our partners, but we’re now shifting our focus to up the pace of growth & to establish an outbound motion that works with our inbound dynamics.

What This Role Is

This isn't a "run the playbook" sales role. This is Founding GTM: where you'll build the motion while creating demand.

  • You'll translate what’s working into a repeatable sales process.
  • You'll refine our general ICP into segments you’re best at targeting.
  • You'll create the first real playbook, and build out the CRM of your dreams with proper hygiene, outreach sequences, discovery frameworks, and pitch materials that actually match what closes deals.
  • You’ll also have design resources/support to back up your direction.
  • You'll run prospecting, outreach, discovery, and qualification.
  • You'll create pipelines & close if the opportunity has the momentum already, and you'll hand-off to founders when it’s better to run a process.

And because you're starting at the foundation, this role naturally sets you up to mold the position around your career goals after the first 12 months.

Your First 90 Days

Weeks 1-4:

  • Run customer interviews & call/material research
  • Take over all current prospecting pipelines & make a plan for the next 90 days
  • Learn the Shopify ecosystem, affiliate workflows, and creator-led commerce deeply enough to prospect confidently
  • Collaborate on messaging, outreach sequences, and vertical-specific strategies that are in-flight

Weeks 5-8:

  • Tighten ICP from gut feel to real clarity on best-use cases, industries, titles, and deal sizes
  • Build and maintain a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline
  • Create the basic playbook: CRM fields that matter, lean sequences, templates, materials edit requests or requests for asset creation via briefs
  • Detail how any particular merchant could approach a CreatorCommerce implementation: turn prospect problems into CC implementation ideas

Weeks 9-12:

  • Run intro and discovery calls; understand brand pain points and communicate CC's value clearly
  • Track activity, conversions, and pipeline metrics; continuously optimize your approach
  • Provide specific feedback from the field to influence product, GTM, and positioning
  • Document everything so that you can scale your strategies with AI or extra resources

What You Bring

Required:

  • 1+ years in Inside Sales, Lead Generation, or Business Development
  • Experience in at least one: Affiliate/influencer marketing, eCommerce, SaaS, Shopify, Growth Agency or Software Agency
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and own direct customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills: you build rapport quickly and articulate value clearly
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced, Slack-heavy startup
  • Fluent in English

  • You're ready to implement modern AI strategies and workflows (e.g. Apollo, Instantly, Amplemarket, Unify, Clay, etc)
  • You work with urgency to drive demos to open opportunities
  • You unapologetically ask for what you need to be successful AFTER using what's available
  • You don't hesitate to pick up the phone to chase a hot deal
  • You’re not afraid to share the occasional hot-take or big win on LinkedIn

  • Competitive market-rate base salary for your region
