Where your CreatorCommerce dashboard metrics come from

Dashboard metrics come from the CC pixel and are delayed by 24 hours. Use Shopify reports for real-time data.

When you’re looking at performance in CreatorCommerce, it helps to know where those numbers come from and when they’re fresh. This article covers the pixel that powers the dashboard, the 24-hour delay you should expect, and when to use Shopify reports instead.

What powers the numbers

CreatorCommerce dashboard metrics come from the CC pixel, which is enabled by default in your CC settings. The pixel tracks sessions, clicks, conversions, and funnel events on co-branded pages, then rolls them up in the dashboard so you can see creator-level and campaign-level performance without leaving CC.

If the pixel isn’t firing, dashboard metrics won’t populate. See How to enable tracking on a Liquid Shopify theme if you’re troubleshooting missing numbers.

The 24-hour delay

Session-driven data in the CC dashboard is always delayed by 24 hours. What you see at 2pm ET is the state of your program as of 2pm ET yesterday.

This is intentional — it lets CC settle and reconcile session data before showing it — but it means CC is not the place to check today’s numbers. It’s the place to evaluate trends and performance over time.

When to use Shopify reports instead

For real-time data, use Shopify’s native reports and analytics. Shopify reflects orders and sessions in near-real time, so it’s the right tool when you want to know:

  • How many orders came in today.
  • Whether a launch or campaign is converting right now.
  • Same-day order counts per discount code.

For attribution-specific analysis that ties creators to Shopify data, check out Analyze CreatorCommerce Traffic with ShopifyQL.

Quick reference

  • Historical creator and campaign performance → CC dashboard (24h delayed).
  • Today’s orders and sessions → Shopify reports.
  • Custom attribution queries → ShopifyQL.

Once you know which tool to reach for, the delay stops being a surprise and CC numbers become a trustworthy view of your program over time.
