Klaviyo is the email platform CreatorCommerce uses to power two different kinds of flows: co-branded emails to shoppers and email flows to creators. This article explains what each is for and how to get set up.
What Klaviyo is used for
Klaviyo shows up in two places in CreatorCommerce:
- Co-branded consumer emails — Emails to shoppers that use the creator’s name, reminders of the creator’s discount, and other co-branding to drive conversion. Common flows include cart abandonment, post-purchase, and win-back — anywhere you want to use the creator the shopper already loves to drive more engagement.
- Creator email flows — Emails to creators themselves. Bulk-distribute invite emails so creators can one-click into onboarding, send gamified emails around referrals they’re driving, and notify creators about campaigns or Destinations you want them to participate in.
How to set Klaviyo up
- Open your CreatorCommerce dashboard and go to your Klaviyo settings.
- Paste your Klaviyo API key. This connects CC to your Klaviyo account so events and properties sync through.
- Email help@creatorcommerce.shop to kick off the base-flow build. The CC team will assemble the foundational co-branded consumer emails and creator email flows for you.
- Invite team@creatorcommerce.shop as a Manager in your Klaviyo account so the CC team has the access needed to build the flows.
The Manager role in Klaviyo is required for the CC team to build and edit flows on your behalf. Without it, the base-flow build can’t proceed.
