How Roster ambassadors edit their storefront

Roster ambassadors can edit their CreatorCommerce storefront straight from the Roster dashboard. The Customize my storefront button opens a pre-authed flow that onboards new ambassadors and drops returning ones into the editor.

If you're running a Roster ambassador program connected to CreatorCommerce, your ambassadors can edit their own co-branded storefront directly from the Roster dashboard they already use — no new login, no separate account to set up. This article walks through what the ambassador sees and how it works.

Where ambassadors edit their storefront

From the main Roster dashboard, ambassadors see a Referrals card for your program. That card shows their personal Smart Link (for example rstr.co/yourbrand/6721) and a Customize my storefront button right below it.

Tapping Customize my storefront is the single entry point — ambassadors use the same button whether they're setting their storefront up for the first time or coming back to edit it later.

What happens when they click the button

The Customize my storefront button opens a pre-authenticated CreatorCommerce flow. That means:

  • No extra login. Roster passes the ambassador's identity through a signed SSO token, so they arrive already logged into their CreatorCommerce storefront.
  • First-time ambassadors onboard in line. If the ambassador hasn't completed the CC onboarding form yet (profile photo, bio, handle, product picks, etc.), they'll see the onboarding flow first. Once they finish, they continue straight into the edit view.
  • Returning ambassadors jump straight to editing. If they've already onboarded, the button drops them directly into the storefront editor where they can update their bio, swap products, adjust their photo, or change theme settings.

What ambassadors can edit

Once inside the pre-authed flow, the fields available to the ambassador match the forms you've configured in CreatorCommerce. Typically that includes:

  • Profile photo and cover image
  • Display name, handle, and bio
  • Featured products or collections on their storefront
  • Any custom fields you've added (for example favorite categories, social handles, shop title)

Changes save back to CreatorCommerce, and the ambassador's live storefront page updates the next time a shopper visits it.

Troubleshooting

The button opens a login screen instead of editing

  • The SSO handoff failed. Usually this means Roster hasn't synced the ambassador into CreatorCommerce yet — check the program's last sync time or ask your account manager to trigger a sync.
  • If the ambassador is brand new, they need to finish Roster onboarding first before the storefront button appears.

An ambassador's storefront changes aren't showing up on the storefront page

  • Shopify caches storefront pages. Give it a minute or two after saving, then refresh — or have the ambassador visit their own Smart Link to trigger a fresh render.
  • If specific fields aren't taking effect, confirm those fields are included in the theme template for that destination.

The button isn't appearing on the ambassador's dashboard

  • Confirm the ambassador is enrolled in a Roster program that's been connected to CreatorCommerce. Programs without the CC integration enabled don't show the storefront button.
  • If you recently enabled the integration, Roster may need a refresh cycle before the button renders for existing ambassadors.

Ambassador-facing summary

For ambassadors, the experience is three taps: open the Roster app, scroll to the Referrals card, tap Customize my storefront. Everything else — authentication, onboarding, edit mode — is handled automatically.
